Rachel began her journey within the science of ABA during her undergraduate coursework. It was during this time where she learned how applicable ABA was to daily life and learning across a multitude of settings. She has been working alongside individuals with developmental disabilities, both one-on-one and in group community settings, since 2018. Her expertise includes experience within FSCD Specialized Services, early intervention in inclusive classrooms, parent coaching, and approaching challenging behaviour and skill building through a trauma-informed and criterion-referenced practice.

Rachel graduated from the University of Alberta with a double major in Biological Sciences and Psychology and obtained a Master’s in Psychology with Specialization in ABA, with distinction, in March 2021. In September 2022, Rachel became a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst.

Rachel has completed training in Skill Based Treatment (SBT) and Acceptance - Identify - Move Curriculum (AIM) and PEAK Relational Training during her supervision experiences. She is a strong supervisor to the other Catalyst team members and helps to train and mentor many new supervisees.

Rachel’s passions involve teaching and supporting caregiver use of effective strategies and understanding that behaviour is a means of communication. Rachel is committed to supporting families and the clients she works with communicate in an effective and safe manner. Rachel continues to advocate for her client’s needs and rights and is committed to making a difference in their lives.
