Nicoleta holds a Bachelor of Education degree with a focus on Special Education (Special Psycho-Pedagogy) and a Graduate Diploma with a focus on Integrated Education, both obtained in Romania and recognized in Canada and the USA.  She has been working with children with developmental delays since 2000. In Romania, she initially worked as a Speech Language Pathologist (part of her degree specialization), and later as a special education teacher in a kindergarten setting before moving to South Carolina, USA, in 2003 to teach special education.

From 2003 to 2012, Nicoleta taught special education first at a high school level, and for the last five years, at the elementary level within the public education system in Sumter, South Carolina. In 2012, Nicoleta relocated to Edmonton, Alberta, where she restarted her career in special education. She obtained her permanent teaching certificate and taught in the Edmonton Public System from 2014 to 2017.

Since 2017 Nicoleta has worked in a Head Start program, initially as a teacher and, since 2021, in a behaviour consultant role. During this time, Nicoleta completed numerous certificate-level trainings, which sparked her interest in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). She developed a passion for the field of ABA and furthered her education by obtaining her RBT certification as a first step toward her ultimate goal of becoming a BCBA in the future.
Nicoleta has worked as a Behavioural Interventionist with Catalyst for the past three years.
She is a truly lifelong learner committed to continuing education as she focuses on expanding her knowledge and education in the field of ABA.
